Man at “Save Our Women and Kids” protest faces abuse allegations from former partners

A man who attended a “Save Our Women and Kids” protest in Glasgow has faced accusations of domestic abuse from two former partners, prompting claims of hypocrisy online.

Alan Miller was filmed among demonstrators at Glasgow Green during the protest, which organisers said was focused on protecting women and children.

Following the demonstration, his former partner, Caitlyn Scullion, 26, shared images online showing injuries she said she sustained during their relationship. Alongside the footage of Miller at the protest, she questioned how someone advocating for the protection of women could, according to her account, have subjected a partner to abuse.

A second former partner, Kerry Sweeney, also made allegations about Miller on social media, describing him as a “monster” and calling him a hypocrite.

The allegations have reignited discussion about the importance of addressing violence against women regardless of who the alleged perpetrator is, with many pointing out that protecting women begins with challenging abuse in all its forms.

The allegations reported by the women are separate from the protest itself, and any such claims should be assessed through the appropriate legal processes.
