MAN GIVEN SUSPENDED SENTENCE AND RESTRAINING ORDER AFTER ASSAULT CASE

A man from Bolton has been sentenced at Crown Court after pleading guilty to offences against a woman.

Kane Richardson, of Great Lever, appeared at Bolton Crown Court on 16 March 2026, where he entered guilty pleas to the charges against him.

The court sentenced Richardson to 16 months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months, alongside a number of additional requirements. These include 30 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, a 90-day Alcohol Treatment Requirement, and a 9-month Drug Rehabilitation Requirement.

A five-year restraining order has also been imposed to protect the victim.

The order remains in place until March 2031, and any breach may result in immediate imprisonment.

The case has now concluded in court, with authorities confirming that the restraining order is intended to prevent further harassment or risk of harm.

This case highlights the importance of safeguarding measures and public awareness.
