Matthew Clarke, 40 years old of Lobelia Lane, Cringleford, Norwich

A Clare’s Law application is advised before having any involvement with this individual as he is a convicted domestic abuser.

Earlier this year, he was convicted of harassing his ex-partner by repeatedly walking past her home. We have also received reports that he was extremely violent during the relationship to both the victim and her children which has led to him no longer being able to have direct contact with them.

Clarke was sentenced to 2 months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, and must also complete 260 hours of unpaid work alongside engaging with courses through the probation service aimed at stopping him from reoffending.

A 7 year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim and her children was also granted.

NORFOLK MAN DENIES REPEATEDLY WALKING PAST EX’S HOME

A man is to stand trial accused of repeatedly walking past the house of a woman over an eight-month period.

Matthew Clarke appeared at Norwich Crown Court after being charged with stalking involving serious alarm or distress.

The court heard the charge alleges that the 39-year-old repeatedly walked past his ex-partner’s home at an address in Attleborough between February 18 and October 23 2024.

It is also said Clarke liked a TikTok video posted by the alleged victim and also then followed her on the platform.

Clarke, of Lobelia Lane, Cringleford, pleaded not guilty to the offence on Friday and a trial was put in the warned list for July 20 2026, meaning the case could take place at anytime within two weeks of that date.

A further case management (FCM) hearing has been fixed for December 1 this year.

Clarke was granted conditional bail.
