Scott Ijomanta – Glasgow

A sex predator already on bail for raping two girls lured another girl to his home and raped her after posing as a 12-year-old boy on Snapchat.

Scott Ijomanta, 38, chillingly told his cornered 14 year old victim: “I can see you are terrified — it just makes me want to kill you.”

The monster was already on bail for grooming two other kids on social media when he enticed the child to his flat in Glasgow by offering to pay for her taxi.

When she arrived, he locked the door and attacked her — after offering her chocolate and a drink believed to be alcohol.

The High Court in Glasgow heard the fiend had moments earlier flown into a rage and accused the petrified girl of stealing his phone and glasses.

The victim recalled how he told her: “I am going to rape you. I am sorry for the things I am going to make you do.”

Ijomanta later slapped the traumatised youngster and threatened to go beat up her parents if she told them.

The beast also lied to her that he had cancer, claiming she could go to the police as he “did not have long to live”.

The girl managed to escape and eventually confided in her father, the court heard.

And in testimony that left some jurors visibly moved, her devastated dad said: “There was no spark of life.

“She was not animated in any way. I held her hand and told her it was not her fault.”

He described his daughter as being “worried, concerned, absolutely devastated”.

Ijomanta struck in August 2024, a year after he raped two other girls aged 12 and 13.

The predator had booked train tickets for them to travel to his home from England but police intervened before they came to physical harm.

Ijomanta denied his crimes in court, claiming his victims had lied about their age and that the rape was consensual sex.

But jurors saw through his lies and unanimously convicted him of abduction, assault and rape as well as sending sexual communications to a child.

He is now facing a potential order for lifelong restriction.

The punishment is reserved for the most serious cases not involving murder.

It mean fiends face strict rules if they are ever freed on parole after serving a minimum jail term set by a judge.

Ijomanta was remanded in custody for sentencing later.
