Sheffield Man Jailed for Stalking and Breaching Restraining Order
A Sheffield man has recently served a 17-week prison sentence after being convicted of stalking causing serious alarm or distress and breaching an indefinite restraining order.
The court heard that the offences involved a former partner, who was pregnant at the time. The defendant is now subject to licence conditions which remain in place until 2027.
The case highlights the seriousness with which the courts treat stalking offences and breaches of court orders. Stalking and coercive behaviour can have long-lasting psychological and emotional impacts on victims, particularly when patterns of unwanted contact and intimidation escalate.
