This man has served multiple prison sentences for abusing a former partner, as well as previous partners.

Fifteen years ago, she was granted a lifetime injunction after waking up to find him standing over her holding a knife.

His most recent partner died at Christmas. Before she was even buried, he began trying to contact his ex-partner, their children, and the mothers of his other children. It appeared he was using the death to gain sympathy.

He has a long history of alcohol abuse but told his children he had stopped drinking. When they were sent a photograph of him drinking at the funeral, he began sending abusive messages to his daughters and stated he “would go back to jail.”

Now nearing 60, he continues to attempt intimidation and control.

There are concerns he is seeking another vulnerable partner, particularly as he must now leave the deceased woman’s home.

Women should be cautious. Patterns of coercive and violent behaviour do not simply disappear with age.
