Worthing man sentenced after assault conviction
Christopher Butler, also known as Chris, of Worthing, West Sussex, has been sentenced after being found guilty in court of assault by beating.
The court heard that the offence involved violence carried out in front of children. Butler was convicted of the assault following court proceedings and sentencing was handed down after the guilty finding.
He received an 18-month community order. As part of the order, Butler must complete 150 hours of unpaid work and undertake 18 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. He was also ordered to pay £150 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £200 in compensation to the victim.
The sentence was imposed in line with the court’s findings after the assault charge was proven.
