A prolific paedophile who was twice convicted for abusing young people in his “horror house” will feature in the latest episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody on Tuesday…..
Carson Grimes, also known as Carson Phillips, was jailed for life in October 2021 after being found guilty of grooming, raping and sexually abusing nine young people at his home in Dumfries Street in Luton.
The jury had heard that Grimes would befriend vulnerable children – some as young as five years old – and invite them to his home where he would ply them with drink and drugs before assaulting them.
He was found guilty of 19 counts of rape, 11 of indecent assault and six of indecency with a child.
After the sentencing was publicised in the press, and featured in a previous episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody, several other victims came forward, prompting a fresh investigation by Bedfordshire Police.
This second investigation will be the subject of a follow-up episode of the documentary series on Tuesday, 27 January at 9pm.
Bedfordshire Police’s second probe into Grimes’s crimes led to him standing before a court again in June last year.
