📝 ABUSE SUMMARY:
Michael Holmes — also known as “Rocky” — subjected his victim to months of horrific abuse including rape, strangulation, and physical assault. In one incident, he pointed a crossbow at her and said, “I’m going to f***ing kill you this time.” The crossbow malfunctioned, sparing her life.
In another attack, he broke her nose by punching her three times. Despite denying all charges, Holmes was found guilty after a five-day trial. He also assaulted a child during this period.
🔊 VICTIM IMPACT:
Detective Constable Rebecca Horner called Holmes “a violent and controlling bully who is a danger to women.” She commended the survivor’s bravery and stated, “I hope today’s sentence helps her rebuild her life.”
